Objectives and activities

The project's objective is to support the "living stones" are most vulnerable, namely children poor, in that special place of the Holy Land, where God became a child: in Bethlehem. With the funds raised will want to support the education of underprivileged children with learning problems, as well as provide them with essential medical care.

The project is sponsored by the Franciscan Friars of the Custody of the Holy Land which for more than seven centuries, and keep alive the holy places of the Holy Land including a prominent place belongs to the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, the Nativity Annunciation in Nazareth and Bethlehem. The presence of the Franciscans in the Holy Land dates back to the dawn of the Order of Friars Minor. In addition to pastoral ministry there are many works of social character of housing in cities like Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Nazareth schools, colleges, scholarships for college students, upgrading homes, supported accommodation for families, homes for students, support to small artisans, circles parish homes for the elderly, after school, women's workshops, summer camps, medical clinics, support for hospital stays.

collaborate actively on-site housing and schools in the parish of St. Catherine in Bethlehem. The schools and the parish, through the youth center and the center for the family, is working to bring aid and relief to the people responding to immediate needs. In particular, funds raised may be given continuity to the work of supporting children in difficulty, as well as act as the center of spiritual listening and charitable aid.
